Point 1 - The Pink Hair
I will be spraying my hair pink should I win. That is an absolute promise and by letting the Holyrood community decide what I have sprayed into my hair each month, we can raise money together. This money can go to charity or whatever else is deemed best for the students at our school for that month. To enter a design for my hair it would only cost £1 but we must raise at least £50 before a design is chosen to ensure it is a real "lottery" so to speak.
Point 2 - Volunteering Opportunities
S6 has just started and that means the focus of the year will be on getting as many extra qualifications as possible and bulking out a personal statement for all sorts of things, for example UCAS. I know personally that things to volunteer for are sometimes infrequent and majority of the time do not help you for what you need for your future. This is why I will be asking for your ideas as well as using my own to try and create as many useful opportunities for as many people as possible.
Point 3 - New Committees
Similar to Point 2, I will be creating new committees for pupils to join and help get their ideas into the school personally. I will also be listening to your ideas for any committees you think should be created. This will help bulk out CV's and personal statements and also it will make our school more connected and more personal to each and every student involved.
Point 4 - Snowball and other school Events
I will be fundraising money to put on a S6 Snowball and many other events by doing hopefully enjoyable fundraisers. I will be pushing for things such as a talent show (thank you Eilidh Keane and Sydney Gaddi for the idea!) and many other fun events for all years to enjoy. I will as usual be taking ideas from you for what you want, such as fundraiser ideas or events you would like to happen in the school (for example a Halloween Disco). This will apply to all years and I will push for as many of these events to take place through fundraising.
